Treat Petite held it’s first Pop-Up Shop at Meri’s Boutique in Alamo, Tn this past weekend. Preparing for this shop ended up being a bit of a challenge for me. Meridith (the owner of Meri’s) and I had spoken about doing a pop-up several times but it took some time to finalize a date. Once we picked the date, I was only left with about 4 days to prepare the cookies. Four days is a long time – except I work a full-time job already! So I had to prepare for this in the evenings after work. I ended up having to take off a day of work to finish everything in time.
All in all, I was really pleased with how the shop went, and I am really looking forward to doing a Christmas shop later in December. One big thing we learned is to advertise early. Unfortunately, with the time frame we were working with, there wasn’t much time to advertise. Despite this though, sales were great and it ended up being a lot of fun.
Here’s a sampling of the cookies I had available:
This pumpkin pie cutter is from BobbisCookiesCutters on Etsy. The cutter is a single piece that cuts 6 slices of “pie” with a single cut. I love this cutter.
Many of the other specialty cutters are from Kaleidacuts on Etsy. The scarecrow plaque, Happy Fall, Large Pumpkin Plaque, and Pumpkin with a banner are all from Kaleidacuts.
This To-Go Cup and the coffee mug above are both from Whisked Away Cutters on Etsy. I love the style of all of the Whisked Away Cutters. All of her cutters have a sweet, chubby style to them.
The Pop-Up Shop was a lot of fun, and I learned a few things to help make the next one go a little better. I can’t wait to begin cookies for the Christmas shop!
